I have to give a huge thanks to the many Simple Minds fans who were tuning in from all over the globe on Friday night to hear the 1982 landmark album, New Gold Dream, be played in it's entirety. They helped greatly in making it one of the most memorable 80s shows we've done and I certainly hope that they enjoyed it as much as I did.
But, if you want to hear more of these kind of shows where I play a featured album, then I need you to get in contact and tell me. So come on, there was an unthinkable amount of fantastic albums in the 80s: be it 'New Gold Dream' by Simple Minds, 'Rio' by Duran Duran or even 'True' by Spandau Ballet, to name some of the populist commercial ones. You tell me your favourite 80s album and why, and we'll be sure to give it some airtime.
Welcome to the 80s Hour blog. We'll be updating you on all the latest news, interviews and music on the 80s Hour shows, presented by Leigh Wilson. More than that though, we want to hear your thoughts on what you want played on the shows, your favourite memories from the 80s and when any interview is lined up, we want you to think of some great questions! | |
